ITA was founded on March 14, 2000, with the aim of improving the collaboration and exchange of information between the car manufacturers (OEMs) and suppliers on the one hand, and the IT-Service Providers on the other hand, with emphasis on the analysis of the supply chain.
Currently more than 50 leading firms from the ICT and consulting sector, with a wide range of core competences, are represented in ITA. With their deep knowledge of the automotive business processes, and the capability to develop and implement the specific ICT systems needed by the industry, or to provide ICT-technology they advice in a consulting role.
Once a year the ITA congress gives the industry leaders and ITA members the possibility to discuss the latest trends, technologies and solutions. ITA is also co-organizer of the VDA logistics congress.

ITA Automotive Symposium in München |

Unter dem Motto „Innovative Lösungen in der Automotive Supply Chain & IT“ findet am 20. Januar 2012 das ITA Automotive Symposium im Hotel Bayerischer Hof in München statt.
Herr John Canvin, der Chairman von Odette sowie Herr Dr. Eichhorn, Geschäftsführer des VDA werden zum Auftakt des ITA Symposiums die Marktsituation in der Automobilindustrie beleuchten sowie einen Ausblick auf die weitere Entwicklung und Trends geben. Herr Roberto Santoro, Präsident von ESOCENET wird diese Einschätzungen aufgreifen und neue Themenfelder der IT aus Sicht der Europäischen Kommission aufzeigen.
Fachlich stehen unter anderem die Absicherung der Lieferfähigkeit durch neue Prozesse und Risikomanagement sowie technische Innovationen zur Unterstützung collaborativer Netzwerke für Supply Chain und Sourcing Prozesse zur Diskussion. Visibilität, die Aktualität von Daten und Informationen zur frühzeitigen Reaktion auf Veränderungen und Transparenz sind dabei von besonderer Bedeutung.

The ESoCE-Net Industrial Forum 2011 |

OPEN INNOVATION AND SERVICE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT FOR SMES
Am diesjährigen ESoCE-Net Industrial Forum, welches am 5. Und 6. Dezember in Rom stattfand, hat auch die ITA - Automotive Service Partner wieder aktiv teilgenommen teilgenommen und 2 Vorträge gehalten.
Der erste Tag stand unter dem Schwerpunkt “Open Innovation Ecosystems addressing major societal challenges and SMEs” Hier hielt Dr. Hofbauer einen Vortrag zum Thema: End-to-End Collaboration for SMEs and Living Labs.
Ein thematischer Schwerpunkt des zweiten Tages widmete sich dem Thema „Living Labs active in the domain showing cases and best practices in support to SMEs”. Mit einem Vortrag zum Thema “Automotive Global Supply Chain Services and LLABs” erläuterte Darius Zand, die aktuellen Erkenntnisse und Ergebnisse, welche in den entsprechenden Arbeitsgruppen der ITA gewonnen wurden.
Beide Vorträge, aber auch das gesamte Forum stießen beim internationalen Publikum auf eine gute Resonanz.
Ebenso wurde die Zusammenarbeit mit ESoCE-Net weiter vertieft und Roberto Santoro, Präsident von ESoCE-Net wird am ITA Symposium im Januar im Gegenzug mit einem Vortrag vertreten sein.
Die Vorträge von D. Zand und Dr. Hofbauer, sowie weitere Unterlagen zum Forum stehen ITA Mitgliedern exclusive im Mitgliederbereich zur Verfügung.
